- Dryers that work fast by blowing water off hands often just with cold air, but in turn make a mess of the bathroom
- Dryers that use warm air but low velocity - quiet but often take a long time to dry hands
- Dryers that use warm air but high velocity - effective in correctly drying hands and moving moisture around the hands to maximise efficiency
