Thermostatic mixing and Thermoblending Valves

Thermostatic mixers can be broken into three catagories;

*Re-Circulation loops - JRGUMAT thermoblending valves
*Zonal mixers - Ultramix & MMV thermostatic mixers
*Point of Discharge mixers - MMV thermostatic & Sirrus shower valves

Re-Circulation loops

JRGUMAT mixers pre-mix water to a nominal 61 deg C and (assisted by a re-circulation pump) allow the hot water to circulate to the far reaches of the building. Water is then immediately available at those reaches without the delay normally associated with single line systems.
60 deg + water is suitable for kitchen and wash-house areas of the building only and further mixing is required for safety in bathroom applications.

Zonal Mixers

Watts Eurotherm Ultramix and MMV mixers can be used to bring high temperature water down to a safe temperature (55 deg or 45 deg for old or young people)direct from the boiler (if the distances to the fixtures are not too great) or from the loop if required.

Point of Discharge mixers

Watts Eurotherm MMV or Sirrus shower valves can be used to reduce the temperature of the water close to the point of discharge if a zonal mixer is not used and if the water from the boiler (or loop) is greater than the desired temperature for safety purposes.

Below is a list of all the products in this section. Please click on a category to the left to filter these further.

Ultramix Thermostatic Mixers
Thermostatic mixers for supplying tempered water to shower and basin applications. Watts Eurotherm Ultramix series mixers are ideal where the preference is to pre-mix the water close to the point of discharge and feed the water to a number of outlets(zonal mixing). Available...
MMV Mixers
MMV mixers are thermostatic mixing valves ideally suited for point of discharge or zonal mixing where the distance to the point of discharge is minimal. It is ideal for underbench mixing for taps or for timed flow showers using mono temperature water.Available only in 3/4" and 1"...
JRG Balancing Valve
The JRG 6320 valves are used in loop design applications where there is a number of "sub-loops" that require balancing in order to ensure even temperature throughout. The 6320 thermo-regulating valve are normally positioned at the end of each sub-loop and will allow water to circulate...
JRG3400
JRGumat 3400 and 3410 thermoblending valves are 4 port thermostatic mixers ideally suited for use in re-circulation loop designs where water is to be re-circulated at over 60 degC. They can also be used as zonal mixers where the 4th port (re-circulation connection) is blanked off. The...
Delabie Zonal Mixers
Delabie zonal mixers are ideal for installation in group shower or basin applications where water temperature security is vital. Click on the link to get access to Delabie website
