Nymet NY19DCV dual check valve is a compact backflow prevention device designed to protect potable water supplies from contamination caused by backflow. Incorporating two independently operating check valves in series, the assembly provides enhanced protection against both back pressure and back siphonage conditions in low-hazard applications.
The dual check arrangement provides an additional level of reliability, ensuring continued protection should one check valve become impaired, while also reducing the pressure differential across the secondary check valve to improve sealing performance.
Suitable for residential and light commercial installations, the valve is commonly used on water meter connections, irrigation systems, and other low-hazard potable water applications where backflow protection is required. The device is not suitable for high-hazard applications and should not be installed in locations where temperatures are likely to exceed 60°C.
