Overview

Zurn W1070XL Aqua-Gard Thermostatic Mixing Valve is a point-of-use temperature control device designed to assist in the prevention of scalding at individual plumbing fixtures. Its rapid response thermostatic element provides immediate adjustment to changes in inlet conditions, making it suitable for final-stage temperature control at fixtures and appliances where user safety is critical.

The valve blends hot and cold water from the distribution system to deliver a controlled outlet temperature range of 35°C to 46°C, reducing the risk of scalding while maintaining user comfort. It is designed for installation at a single outlet and is commonly used for fixtures where localised temperature control is required.

The W1070XL is ASSE 1070 listed, confirming its suitability for point-of-use applications such as sinks, lavatories, bathtubs, and similar terminal fixtures in residential and commercial installations. Its design allows it to be used where adequate supply pressure is available to support individual fixture control, and isolation valves on hot and cold inlets are recommended to facilitate maintenance.

Constructed from low-lead cast bronze with chrome plating, the valve incorporates stainless steel springs and screens, Viton sealing elements, and Noryl check components to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and reliable long-term performance in potable water systems.
